Tavistock Hotel

The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area with several tube stations within walking distance. The room was a bit small but still very comfortable. Great staff both in the reception, in the bar and in the breakfast restaurant. Excelent breakfast with plenty of items to choose from. Highly recommended.

Tavistock Hotel was my home in London for 8 days, and I truly loved it. The area is fantastic, I felt safe walking around, even at night. It’s very close to Euston and St Pancras stations, which made getting around super easy. Check-in was smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a room with a lovely street view, which really improved my experience. The room itself was simple but had everything I needed. It was comfortable, always clean, and quiet, just close the window and you won’t hear any street noise. Breakfast was varied, and the staff at the reception and in the dining area were always kind and polite. Everyone at the hotel was genuinely friendly and helpful, which made me feel even more at ease as a solo traveler. The location is also great for walking — Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street are nearby, and there are plenty of parks and public transport options around. It’s a student-friendly area, so I felt comfortable and welcome as a young traveler. If you’re traveling solo, especially for the first time in London, I definitely recommend this hotel. It made my trip feel easy, safe, and enjoyable.

Although clearly quite an old and slightly dated building (it doesn’t look particularly smart from the outside), the bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and quite spacious. We were upgraded to a king size bed which really was huge and very comfortable. There was a kettle with plenty of tea & coffee plus a small table with two chairs. Brilliant shower. Very powerful. Would definitely use again if travelling by Eurostar - a 15 minute walk away. Staff were all extremely obliging and friendly.

Beds super comfy. Shower pressure wonderful. Staff very responsive & friendly, but they have to Google any questions we had regarding tours, tourist destinations, subway directions (no TUBE maps), restaurant recommendations, etc. Hotel is within easy walking distance to both Russell Square and Euston Station for TUBE access. Located in University neighborhood. Maid service excellent.

The location of the hotel is great. It's set just away from the main hustle and bustle of Euston Road but still close enough to walk to the main and underground stations. Had a garden view which was lovely and the sound of traffic didn't really personally bother us that much when relaxing in the room. It was a comfortable size for a twin room and the shower facilities were great. The staff were very friendly and polite on arrival and throughout our stay. Checking in and out was super easy. The streets surrounding the hotel continue on with useful spots like convenience stores, good restaurants and in the wider area some park gardens to walk through or sit and relax for a bit. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits.
