We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is in a superb location looking out on Tavistock Square, with Euston station about five minutes walk, and King’s Cross - St Pancras about fifteen minutes. Plenty Underground lines within easy reach, and a lot of cultural attractions like the British Museum and British Library too. It felt like a relatively safe place to walk back to at night. The lobby is a beautiful Art Deco space, and the rooms have similar Art Deco-ish details. Our room looked out into a courtyard and roofs below. There was an extractor fan below which ran all night, but personally I’d rather have that sort of constant “white noise” than the intermittent noise of vehicles/ sirens/ voices in the street. The room was small but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was powerful and hot. There was also a bath, which was an unexpected bonus! The room was very warm, even with the heating off and window open, but a desk fan had been provided. All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, with hot items kept fresh and nicely presented. There was a good selection of continental items including meat, cheese, fruit and mini pastries. Hot drinks were self service from a machine. Breakfast is served until 10am, which is useful for slow-paced holidaymakers!

Tavistock Hotel was my home in London for 8 days, and I truly loved it. The area is fantastic, I felt safe walking around, even at night. It’s very close to Euston and St Pancras stations, which made getting around super easy. Check-in was smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a room with a lovely street view, which really improved my experience. The room itself was simple but had everything I needed. It was comfortable, always clean, and quiet, just close the window and you won’t hear any street noise. Breakfast was varied, and the staff at the reception and in the dining area were always kind and polite. Everyone at the hotel was genuinely friendly and helpful, which made me feel even more at ease as a solo traveler. The location is also great for walking — Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street are nearby, and there are plenty of parks and public transport options around. It’s a student-friendly area, so I felt comfortable and welcome as a young traveler. If you’re traveling solo, especially for the first time in London, I definitely recommend this hotel. It made my trip feel easy, safe, and enjoyable.

WE stayed 3 nights , The hotel was very nice when we arrived. Once we got to our room we were horrified , the toilet didn't flush , the bathroom sink was in front of the toilet and you couldn't sit , the power for my CPAP was at the TV end of the room so a EXT cord was strung across, We were thinking of losing our money and leaving. My wife went and spoke to the front desk and we got moved to a fantastic room , everything was perfect . By day two we were GOLDEN, WE loved the hotel and would stay again. My lesson is immediately go to the desk and ask for a better room if the one you get is less than acceptable. The Hotel Staff was fantastic and our second room was great. The Hop on Hop Off bus is around the corner and the tube station a few blocks away . We will surely stay here again. I would suggest this as a great place to stay in London

We arrived by Eurostar at St. Pancras International station, which is within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is nicely situated opposite a little park. Breakfast was very good, so much choice, complete English breakfast, little (chocolate) croissants, buns, fresh fruits, different kinds of yogurts and cereals, toasted bread, all kinds of coffees and of course tea. Me and my 18-year-old son stayed for 4 days, the metro stations are near the hotel (an 8-minute walk), bus stations are closer by, and we actually saw almost everything we wanted to see in London.

The bed wasn't very big but it was very comfortable for us with very very, indeed, comfortable pillows,. The breakfast was very good and plentiful with many choices and very smiley faces. Even though the breakfast area was huge there were times we had to wait to be seated which it is understandable as the hotel was full of guests. The area around the hotel was pretty nice and very close to two main stations the Euston station which takes you to Gatwick airport and the Russell Square station which takes you to many main sightseeings.
